ROME

Workshop with Latica Mladina in Rome

As part of the FRIDAS project, Latica Mladina facilitated engaging workshops in collaboration with the teams from Primavera Rugby and Nada Ragbi Klub.

A Day of Connection and Learning
On October 28th, an offline workshop was held at the Primavera Rugby Pitch, led by psychologist Latica Mladina. This session encouraged dialogue and collaboration among young rugby players and staff members from both clubs, fostering an environment of reflection and personal growth.

The workshop built upon the insights shared earlier in the day by Erika Morri, the project’s gender coordinator. Erika’s session laid a foundation for exploring gender bias and promoting equality within the sport, which was further expanded during Latica’s interactive activities.

Activities Designed to Inspire
Latica Mladina developed several impactful activities, including:

Reflection on Rugby Drawings: Analyzing artistic expressions tied to the sport.
Start-Stop-Continue: Identifying behaviors to adopt, avoid, and sustain in fighting gender bias.
Describe Yourself with 3 Objects: Encouraging participants to reflect on their identities.
The Grand Finale: Rebuilding the Rugby Ball
In the final activity, participants were divided into six groups, each given a segment of a large printed rugby ball. Each group discussed the most valuable lesson learned during the FRIDAS project and shared their insights. The activity concluded with the symbolic reconstruction of the rugby ball, representing unity, shared purpose, and a deeper understanding of the themes explored.

This collaborative experience underscored the power of sports and dialogue in addressing societal challenges and fostering meaningful connections.
