The FRIDAS project is pleased to present an exchange initiative involving young rugby players from Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Spain.
This event represents a meeting point between sport and culture, aiming to promote inclusion and personal growth through engaging and meaningful experiences.
Exchange in Greece – Athens
The first exchange took place in Athens, Greece. The young athletes, accompanied by their coaches, embarked on this journey and were welcomed by the organization Liminal, which supported the implementation of activities within spaces provided by the Municipality of Athens.
Supporting the teams were: Monkeys Video Lab, Mekit Studio,the psychologist Latica Mldina and the gender coordinator Erika Morri (online)
Arrival in Athens
March 16 marked the arrival of the teams and experts. It was the first opportunity for participants to meet, begin getting to know each other, and fully embrace the spirit of the FRIDAS project.
Meetings and Workshops
On March 17, the program began with a welcome session by Latitudo Art Projects and Liminal.
Participants then took part in workshops led by psychologist Latica Mldina, who engaged the group in activities designed to foster collaboration among players from different countries.
During the day, a session with Liminal focused on accessibility in art.
The day concluded with an online capacity-building and motivational session led by Erika Morri.
Creativity and Innovation
March 18 began with an outdoor creative workshop led by Monkeys Video Lab. Participants engaged in video and audio recording activities, exploring the concept of “micro and macro” within a city park.
In the afternoon, together with Mekit Studio, the participants began designing a video game on the Roblox platform, gaining their first experience in digital development.
Wheelchair Rugby and Inclusion
On March 19, a day dedicated to inclusive sport took place at the Serafeio Athletic & Community Complex.
Participants had the opportunity to discover wheelchair rugby together with Romanes. After an introductory training session to become familiar with the wheelchairs and the rules of the game, a match was held in which the young athletes, divided into teams, demonstrated enthusiasm, teamwork, and a strong desire to have fun.
The day concluded with a public symposium focusing on art, sport, and inclusion.

- Latitudo Art Projects, presenting the FRIDAS project
- Romanes, discussing wheelchair rugby
- Christina Zeri and Elina Dekaristou, experts in disability and accessibility
Topics related to social equality in sport were also addressed.
Return and Future Developments
March 20 marked the return day. However, this does not represent the end of the journey.
The teams will meet again in September in Bulgaria to continue this path of growth and exchange.
